Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. The band was founded in 2009. The group is
comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. In 2009 they
signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia Records. The group was
featured in Nickelodeon's television series Big Time Rush. From November 28,
2009 to July 25, 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode showcased the group's
first promotional single, "Big Time Rush". Three studio albums were
released by the group: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) and 24/Seven (2013). In
2014, the band was on a hiatus that would last until 2021. They resumed live
performances in the studio, and then released "Call It Like It's What It's
Like". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 while
simultaneously airing the tv show Big Time Rush. In the following year,
Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to produce the show and
add original music that was used in the show. The series' debut single,
"Big Time Rush" came out on November 29 in 2009. Officially announced
on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later
aired worldwide. It premiered during a special preview of the series. The theme
is currently the show’s opening theme. Promotional singles were also released
by the show including "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and
"Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also remixed the Play song
"Famous" that was written by him. It was released to iTunes on June
29, 2010, Following its series premiere Another song, "Halfway
There", became available on iTunes on April 27, 2010. The band soon became
their first charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked 93 due to the
digital sales. In order to promote the release of their debut album, Big Time
Rush released "Till I Forget about You" on September 21st, 2010. The
album, BTR was released on October 11 on the 11th of October, the 11th of
October. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000
copies within its first week.
