Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and CEO). She is of Swedish, German and British Isles descent. Stone began her acting career in the ages of a child, as a member of the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the Kenneth Grahame production "The Wind in the Willows". Through her teens, Stone was a part of numerous stage productions before she took the decision to pursue a career in acting. Officially, she designed a PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents to let her leave school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch, and then moved to LA. Her education was done at home, and she would spend the rest of her time auditioning. Her TV debut in 2004 when she was chosen to play the character as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge Family. The show led to many small TV performances in the years to follow. Her movie debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and following a string of impressive performances, her lead part as Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a leading actress. She attended Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's known as an redhead, her true hair shade is blonde. Judd Apatow was the one who suggested that she change her natural hair shade to Superbad (2007). The movie was so well received that she decided to keep her hair. When she was 15, she convinced her parents that she was able to move to Hollywood. She made this happen by creating an PowerPoint presentation titled Project Hollywood. She began acting when she was 11 years old and was a part of Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here, she starred on over 16 stages. She also took part in the theatre's comedy improv group. Caylee Cowan also performed at the Valley Youth Theatre.
