Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theater actor writer and director as is her mother, Sara Wood, is an actress and acting coach. Her brothers older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who also have been actors. Evan as well as her brothers regularly were seen performing in the Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father was the founder of it and is its director of operations. At the age of five, she auditioned to play the character in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She moved to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 . She's enjoyed success since then and has been featured in a variety of television series, TV films as well as feature films. She's appeared in Practical Magic (1998) and starred in the comedy S1m0ne (2002) as the daughter of actor Al Pacino. She the film followed with Thirteen (2003) which starred Holly Hunter. Her character of Tracy in "Thirteen," which she was a part of received her a nomination from the Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama, and a nomination from the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress Female in the Leading Role. She was the youngest actress to have been nominated for an award for a Leading Role award at the time. She earned a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie" for her performance of Veda Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011). Also, she received praise for her stunning performance as Stephanie, Mickey Rourke's estranged daughter in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Ira David Wood III and Sara Wood. Ira David Wood III's younger sister. She is a certified dancer. She is a lover of dancing, sing, rollblade, as well as horseback riding. She is the black belt in tae Kwon-Do. She's kept in touch with for the majority of her Once and Again (1999), castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
