Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on the 2nd of December, 1981. She raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney was a dancer as a youngster and was a great gymnast, winning numerous competitions. Britney was an excellent performer and dancer. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of 8. The show was not accepted due to her young age. This led her to an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", for 2 years as the title character. At the age of 11, she again tried for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and she made the show as a mouseketeer with many stars of today (Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSYNC and Ryan Gosling). However, her most notable break was in the late 1990s when she was signed to be a Jive Recording artist. When she released her debut album, "...Baby One More Time" in the early part of 1999, Britney became a global hit having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million copies (as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears She has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was destined to be the next big thing from an early age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. After having a lot of singing and dancing classes and performing in numerous showcases and fairs, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television series [1989-1994] when she 8years old, however, she was too young to be able to audition for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in several TV ads and in the off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. The love for music and dance took over and, 2 years after, she auditioned for part in "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, was selected for the role with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
